Meeting at Pioneer Library System

I had a meeting with Roma Matott, Systems Librarian at Pioneer Library System yesterday to discuss the ins and outs of the overall system that includes my library as well as forty-one other libraries. I am wondering if anyone else has had the experience of having the person you interviewed not understand the questions being asked that were in the description sheet of the project. In my experience, Roma has the most knowledge of the ins and outs of the technology that covers the libraries. Since I am fairly new to the system as a director, I decided to go to the top to discover what I needed to know.
We started with a topic that I am particularly interested in for my library and that would be going wireless. At this time, my library is not but since we are in the process of remodeling and I want to offer new services to my patrons, I thought that this is one of the easier routes to go. I will let you know in the next couple of days as to whether this is something my library can actually do.
